PRIMA PASSION

All my songs are cries of love inspired by all the feelings of life.
"Balade sur le Nil" is a dream about everlasting love.

"Saint Germain des Prés" related a love story in the typical neighbourhood of Saint Germain des Prés with its vibrant 1950's night life like in the famous "Caveau de la Huchette".

"Viens" is sensual and erotic song that I wrote for all women who want to give and receive love.
"J'ai Couru la Campagne" is a bucolic song that I wrote for children. I included it in a recent video dedicated to them in order they can imagne run and sing in the countryside during this confined COVID-19 period. This video could be finded on all social networks.

I am songwriter and singer, and made my first song at the age of 12. I am a registred member of the French SACEM.

Charles TRENET sponsored my songs and encouraged me.

Michel LEGRAND also encouraged me when I started
I participate to the Music Festival with Jack LANG who he is fond of my songs, specially the song "Les Jardins d'El Biar".

I received an early musical education til the age of 5 when my mother took me to the Opera.
My favorite instrument is piano.

I am also actress, scriptwriter and writer for theater. Some of my theater drames were played by troups of young student.

Hi everybody,

I've been spending more time than ever with my guitar and a pen and paper, just staring out the window, thinking about music. I'm hoping that all of you have something you enjoy doing alone, inside.. maybe you've reawakened your love of Play-Doh, some of you are probably turning into yoga pretzels, whatever the pleasure, I hope it finds you.
Last January, my band got together and recorded a covers EP. I took on some of my favorite moody tunes; Nick Lowe's "Blue on Blue" was released this week. I became obsessed with that song in particular when I was touring with Nick Lowe last fall. As soon as I heard the first guitar strum I would creep from my dark place backstage and get as close as possible to bask in the magic of that song. It put a spell on me. I needed to figure out why...
Recording these cover songs has been a really interesting experience, to step into these great songs and reckon with the magic that's locked inside. To try and access it and interpret it.

We covered some really iconic American classics, which is why I chose to name the EP My Favorite Mistakes (emphasis on mistakes), because only time will tell if we reawakened these songs or simply botched them up.

My Favorite Mistakes is now available to pre-order here. The EP will be available digitally on May 29.

With love,
Esther

I Swear It's True

Humming Records

Released: Out now
I Swear It's True - Máni Orrason

We say

Icelandic-born, Berlin-based Máni Orrason is an enigmatic artist who has this natural ability to happily transcend genres as he explores the world of love, loss and despair in his music. He first found success in his homeland at the age of 16 when he released his No.1 Icelandic Radio pop-folk hit Fed All My Days and debut album Repeating Patterns. Now based in Berlin, he released his self-produced indie-rock follow up album, I Woke Up Waiting, in 2018 and last year decided to shake up his pop sound once again with an electronic and modern twist on his Baby Angel EP with producer Nikolai Potthoff. The EP has since amassed over 4m combined streams with editorial support from Spotify (NMF, Indie Radar & Feel Good Indie), glowing praise from the likes of Billboard, Earmilk, Clash and the Line of Best Fit, as well as radio support across Germany, UK, the Netherlands and France. For us though, it is this well-polished alt-pop ode about love and yearning that is the real highlight of the EP. Still only 21, Mani is already building a pretty impressive back catalogue, and with a new EP on the horizon, we can’t wait to hear more from this talented artist. Contemplative, left-of-centre pop.

Mani’s charity of choice is Greenpeace: “Because of their past and continued work against the climate crisis. Whether it’s plastic, oil, the meat and dairy industry, fracking, deforestation or any other major threat to the climate, Greenpeace continues to raise awareness and work against the climate crisis.”

Sound Advice marks its 12th anniversary with a Spotify playlist focussing on its current roster of unsigned/DIY/independent artists. The playlist can also be viewed on YouTube.
